*OMG we have a dress!*

Holy crap. Holy crap. Holy crap.

I just got back from Statesboro with April & I PURCHASED MY WEDDING DRESS.
I found the one.. well.. the TWO really. haha. I fell in love with 2 dresses.
One was short & cute & perfect for Vegas & just totally ME. And the pricetag was prettyyyy amazing.
The second one was long. big. An actual wedding GOWN. But I loved it. And it was expeeeennnnnsive. ha.
So, I definitely went with the first one! But honestly, it was exactly what I was looking for anyway & I LOVE IT. It was so flattering!! I felt so pretty :]

Please forgive us because the pics dont do it justice. WOMP.

First, the one I DIDNT get:

I loved the top of it so much. You cant really tell in this picture but it made me look so voluptuous without a ton of boobs showing all over the place. lol.

And now, the one I did get. MUCH more informal & fun I think:

So cute! Please excuse ME in this picture. It poured rain on us RIGHT before we got there and it ruined my hair & I'm like.. pigeon toed in this picture. wth.

SO ANYWAY. TELL ME WHAT YALL THINK!!!

And I will update later today with some more wedding stuff that's happened in the past few weeks! :D

*DRESS & groomsmen attire changes!!*

I've changed my mind about the dress I want!

I had a bit of a freakout a couple of weeks ago because I realized that I was actually planning on ordering a dress that I wouldnt even be able to TRY ON until it came in the mail.
Now.. that wouldnt have even phased me a couple of years ago BEFORE I HAD A BABY.. but um.. my body is not the cute little thing it used to be anymore lol.. and I am still getting used to what looks good on me now.
SO. I decided to go to some more dress shops and try on some more dresses just in case THE ONE was sitting somewhere around here instead of California.
I didnt find the one, but I did find a STYLE that I loved. And I also realized that I'm not comfortable in strapless AT ALL anymore. I wasnt standing up straight, I didnt feel confident, and I kept trying to adjust my boobs.. NOT how I want to feel on my wedding day!
Then I tried on this Casa Blanca gown:

It was long and full with a train which I wasnt into but I LOVED THE TOP SO MUCH. It was minimizing in the chest [which I definitely need] and it was just so flattering. I fell in love [with the top].
I couldnt justify buying the gown and then cutting $200-$300 worth of material off to make it shorter though.

Then I realized that there is a new Dolly design! The Beverlywood! AND IT IS PERFECT!! :D
I love it. So I am 99.9% sure that this will be the one I get!
I'm going to have it made WITHOUT the sleeves though. Still with the strap part, similar to the top of the Casa Blanca gown, but no sleeves.
Here it is:

What do yall think? :D

Also, Bailey and I decided to change the groom + groomsmen + bridesdude attire. We registered everyone for tuxes but that wasnt what we wanted to do in the first place! So now we are going back to our original plan!
Bailey will just be in a suit & the other boys will just wear black dress pants + white dress shirt.
And then we will order their ties:

We're ordering them from Etsy seller: toybreaker
They will look something like this.
We havent decided on black ties with colored ink, or colored ties with black ink.
Bailey's tie will be blue & the other guys will have purple ties. :]

*petticoats & hairclips*

Well I decided on the white shoes instead of the blue! I LOVE the blue shoes but it's just too hard to try to match up the blues perfectly.. especially when the majority of my wedding purchases are going to be online purchases!
And the white shoes are pretty much the same.. plus they have a cute bow on them. ;]
I know there's no pink in my color scheme but dammit I am going to have pink toenails. :D I have to find some OPI Pompeii Purple because it's my favorite nail polish OF ALL TIME:

so pretty and perfect.

I think I am going to order my petticoat from Petticoat Junction. I was looking at their selection last week and I emailed them because I wasnt sure about their 'peacock' color so I was wondering if they had swatches available. Computer screens are such liars. She promptly emailed me back and said that she would take a tiny snippet off of one of the petticoats and mail it to me free of charge. And when I got it in the mail there was a handwritten letter in there from her saying she hopes I like it & she even taped the piece of the crinoline folded over a few times so I could see the true color. So sweet. Very personal and I love that. So now I think I pretty much have to order from them. ;]
This is their color chart:

Peacock for me, purple for the bridesmaids! The peacock color looks so dark there but it's actually very pretty and a bit lighter in person.
But that pretty much made up my mind about the white shoes!

I found some cute ideas for my bridesmaid's hairpieces. I want to incorporate some purple in since there isnt actually purple IN a peacock feather.. and they are wearing purple petticoats.
I like these two hairclips:

and

I also reeeeally like this too though:

We're going to make the hair clips!! My aunt is like a craft queen so we got this! haha.

And lastly, I am having a hard time with my invitation wording. Tons of things are making it difficult.. destination wedding [anyone who wants to make the trip can come] with a reception back at home [for everyone!], both of our parents are divorced but both of our mom-halves are helping finance the wedding, we dont want it to be formal at all.. blah blah blah. Oy vey.

*yayyyyy i have a wedding blog!!*

Ok, I finally started a wedding blog. I havent been updating my LJ very much lately.. one reason is because all I think about anymore is Maddox.. and mine and Bailey's wedding. haha
So I'm making a blog JUST for the wedding stuff.. so I wont feel dumb for updating with some silly little detail that I got excited about and no one else really cares about. :D

I'll start with the basics. Everyone I know already knows about most of this stuff so far.

We're getting married in Las Vegas! We started planning a big wedding that would take place here on the coast.. and that lasted for ABOUT a month before we decided that we didnt want to deal with the stress, we just wanted to have fun, get married, and party. :D soooo Vegas it is.
We've decided to get married at the Flamingo Hotel. We'll obviously be staying there also!

We're hoping to book the garden chapel gazebo:

I usually think that gazebos are pretty cheesy but I'm into it. This one's cute. ;]

We will still be having a reception at home! We are planning on having it at my mom's house probably 2-3 weeks after we get home from our "weddingmoon". haha what a dumb word. Anyway, we're definitely doing that and we will invite everyone who couldnt make it out to Vegas! [and also those who did of course!]

Our theme & colors are peacock feathers & peacock colors!

And we're throwing some purple in there too ;] because purple is my favorite color and it goes!

This will be my ensemble!
Dress:

The dress is the Manhattan from Dolly Couture. It's simple & cute and TEA LENGTH [a must] and I love it. AAAAAAAND, all her gowns are super reasonable in price. :D
Go look at her Facebook galleries [Dolly Thicke].. there are tons of real brides wearing her cute designs. I'm pretty much in love with her. <3

Veil:

but instead of the white fascinator, I will have this:
Photobucket
both are obviously from birdcageveils.com. I'm obsessed with the peacock feather fascinator.

I'm going to have a blue petticoat under my dress to [hopefully] match the blue in the fascinator.. it's proving to be pretty freaking tough to find ANYTHING in the right color blue. :[ I'm having like, panic attacks over it.
Also, I havent decided if I want my petticoat to be a couple inches longer than my dress so that it peeks out all the time or if I want it to only show when I'm sitting or kicking my heels up or something haha..
I also want to have matching blue shoes! Hopefully peep-toes with an ankle strap. ;]
I love these:

but I'm starting to wonder if I should just go with white shoes:

As for the bridesmaids, I'm pretty settled on everything for them. :]

They're wearing this dress:

The Black Flirty Cotton Mini Swing Dress from Unique Vintage.
April already bought hers and it looks so good on her! I think it will be very flattering on all of my girls. :]
Their petticoats with be PURPLE [this was decided as of yesterday!] and they will definitely be long enough to stick out from under their dresses like in the picture. So cute.

And their shoes!

I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And the heart on the bottom is definitely going to make for some cute bridesmaids/groom pictures!! :D
I wish I could wear them too but they dont come in white.. only beige I think. Lame. And the other colors they come in are like, lime green and pink. wtf? ugh.

And onto the boys, this is what they will be wearing:

I really wanted them to wear suits but ugh that is so expensive, soooo we went with a tux that pretty much LOOKS more like a suit than a tux... to us anyway! We registered them all at Men's Wearhouse.
The tie will be BLUE on Bailey though.. and purple on the groomsmen & Rusty [my bridesMAN?].
Bailey is going to look so cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute!!! <333333

[And now a small freakout: The more I look at the colors... I dont think the blue we picked out for Bailey's tie is going to match so I have to figure this shit out soon before I lose my mind over it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!]
